Finca San Ramon is located in Jinotega. The region is known for its nutrient-rich volcanic soil and the diversity of its microclimates. Producing coffee since 1896, the Fincas are deeply rooted in their community and are more than an employer. As the Rizo family has been dedicated to the success of the farms for generations, so have dozens of families working on the farm. The created bond goes beyond work, it is like a family sharing the same objectives, needs and achievements. As part of the benefits, land is provided to some workers for them to culti-vate it as their own and harvest their own product. Furthermore, to eradicate child labor in the area, they have partnered up with the International Labor Organisation to raise awareness amongst the community and build a school for the children of the area.
