The Union No4 has been Built on the same concept as our existing coffee blends, but this time specifically developed for filter brew methods. This is our first blend designed for filter brewing, created over many months of cupping and fine tuning at our Ammanford roastery, and we are proud to give this blend our no4 status.

This Filter Blend is clean, medium-bodied and perfectly balanced with a subtle sweetness that embodies all we love about specialty filter coffee.

Bugoye, Uganda

Bugoye is a community just to the north of the town of Kasese in the Rwenzori Mountains of western Uganda. It is the location of Rwenzori Coffee new Washing Station built in 2019. The local farmers are smallholders growing coffee as their main cash crop, usually to raise funds to pay school fees for their children. We work with over 3000 farmers as part of a certification programme to ensure that everyone is well trained and benefits from the improved supply chain. The farmers throughout this area, who live and farm from 1300 up to 1900 masl, bring their freshly picked red-ripe cherries to the washing station for processing.

Please note, our espresso grind is suitable for most home coffee machines. If you have a commercial grade coffee machine, E.g. Linea Mini, then please add an order note in your basket, requesting commercial espresso grind.

We would always recommend that you use a grinder at home in order to achieve the grind suitable for your particular brewing equipment, but we appreciate that this is not always possible, so we do offer our coffee as ground. We offer grind options that we think would achieve the best results from the numerous variations of machines and equipment that are available to consumers, but we cannot guarantee that our ground options will work with every unique set up.
