Introducing: Pitchfork & Provision Cardiff

Founded in Llandeilo, Pitchfork & Provision has built a reputation for doing things properly, with a focus on making food in-house, championing quality ingredients and supporting Welsh producers and suppliers. Their flagship Llandeilo site has been a long-standing Coaltown customer, making this a partnership with plenty of history behind it.

Now, Pitchfork & Provision have taken their next step, opening their doors in the heart of Cardiff through a new partnership with Tramshed Tech at One Central Square. The brand-new café just opened, bringing their food, hospitality and distinctly Welsh identity to the city for the first time. At the heart of Pitchfork & Provision is a simple philosophy: feed people properly. From making their food in-house to carefully selecting the producers and suppliers they work with, there’s a real focus on quality, provenance and supporting the Welsh supply chain. Their coffee is no different.

There’s plenty on offer at the new Cardiff café, from a vast hot and cold drinks menu serving everything from classic coffees to more indulgent options, alongside a seasonal food menu that changes with what’s fresh and available. Expect freshly baked pastries, loaded sourdough toast, plenty of savoury options and of course, their delicious cakes. Those same cakes you see in our espresso bars too, giving our customers another taste of what Pitchfork & Provision do best.

Open Monday to Friday, 7:30am–3:30pm, the new café is designed to be part of the daily rhythm of One Central Square, whether that’s grabbing a coffee and pastry on the way in, settling in for a proper lunch or stopping by for something sweet in the afternoon. It feels like a natural extension of what they already do so well. Tramshed Tech is a community built around collaboration, creativity and bringing people together, while Pitchfork & Provision understands the role that food, coffee and hospitality play in creating those connections.

This café offers an exciting opportunity for Pitchfork & Provision to bring their approach to a new audience, while continuing to champion the values that have shaped the business since it began in Llandeilo. For us, it’s particularly exciting to see a long-standing customer take this next step and to continue being part of their journey as they grow.

We’ve loved watching Pitchfork & Provision develop from their beginnings in Llandeilo and we’re incredibly proud that Coaltown has been part of that journey. Now, as they open the doors to their brand-new Cardiff site, we’re excited to welcome their second site officially into our wholesale community and see what this next chapter brings.
