Minca, a Quechua term from the Andes, signifies the close camaraderie among farmers. While hiring help during harvest, they rely on neighbours for the rest of the crop cycle. The men and woman move from farm to farm, assisting with various tasks. This collective care and social bond are encapsulated by the concept of Minca.

The coffee comes from seven farmers in Junín, Peru’s largest coffee-producing region. Through the Volcafe Way program, these farmers receive regular visits from agronomists aiming for sustainable profitability. Training focuses on production standards, water treatment, and agroforestry.

Junín is protected by the Andes and offers ideal conditions for agriculture. The landscape holds and abundance of water supplies and fertile soils.
