10 Years Strong

10 Years is a long time. A lot can change and a lot can be achieved. We started our business 10 years ago from a shed, then a garage with a single ambition. To bring an industry to our ex-mining town of Ammanford. 5 years later, we opened our public Roastery in the town, something you would expect in a big city, right?

Since then, we've trained dozens of people, employed a team of 20+ and growing. Survived a pandemic and opened a second cafe in another post-industrial community. Supplied coffee to hundreds of cafes and thousands of subscribers all from our little town of Ammanford... some say we punch above our weight, but this is what you've helped us create. this is the beginning of something bigger... a movement...

RURAL KIND X COALTOWN HAVERSACK

Inspired by a 1940's World War II Haversack owned by Scott's great grandad ben, This bag has been handmade in collaboration with local bag maker Mike, founder of Rural Kind.

The haversack has been scaled to contain a bag of coffee, Aeropress, coffee scale, and grinder. The adjustable compression makes the internal dimensions scaleable depending on its chosen use. Constructed using traditional materials including Heavyweight Scottish 22oz waxed canvas. The bag's rugged design will last years to come.

Coaltown Wild
Flower Honey

Gwenyn Maes Chwarel bees live and thrive in an old Quarry Field in Carmarthenshire, kept by bee-keeping expert Dave Whiteley. It sits at the edge of a genuinely stunning meadow on Penlan Farm near Carmarthen. There, shielded by woodland, lies a secluded bluebell-strewn haven, where Gwenyn Maes Chwarel, The Quarry Field Bees, blissfully make his small batch single source honey.
