Brewing with French Press
A classic, full-bodied brew method that emphasises richness and depth, the French Press uses full immersion to draw out bold flavours and a smooth mouthfeel. With its simple design, it offers a satisfying, unfussy cup that highlights the coffee’s natural body and sweetness.
Presentation – French Press with cup of choice
Bean to Cup – Approx 10 minutes
Apparatus
French Press
Kettle
Grinder
Scale
Timer
Stirrer and spoon

Step 1
Heat Water to 96 Degrees
Preheat your French Press with hot water and then discard of it.

Step 2
Time To Add Your Coffee
Now you want to add 30g of your chosen coffee. Start your timer and pour 500g of hot water and leave it for 4 minutes.

Step 3
After 4 Minutes
At the 4 minute mark, you want to stir the crust gently, let the coffee settel and then scoop out any remaining floating bits from the top. pop the lid on but do not plunge. Then leave for another 5 minutes (this timing varies and is dependent on taste).

Step 4
It's Almost Ready
At 5 minutes, press down just to the top of the coffee. We suggest this as to not agitate the coffee grounds at the bottom. It's then time to pour your fresh coffee and enjoy. (option to pour it all out into another vessel (carafe) so the coffee doesn't become over saturated.
