Get ready to mark your calendars for a series of extraordinary events as we celebrate a decade of Coaltown Coffee Roastery excellence! Our 10th-anniversary celebration will be held at The Roastery on the 4th of November, Saturday with a series of unforgettable events on the day! But there is A LOT MORE starting next week, keep on reading!

We are thrilled to extend our celebrations with various events held in collaboration with our valued wholesale partners, starting next week.

Event 1 - 26.10.23

Coaltown Coffee Cupping & Cocktail Tasting by the Sea at Baravin.

Join us at Baravin for our first event in the 10 year calendar as we take you on a journey of; origin, process & flavour. No experience required, just come and join in!

We will be presenting you 7 coffees from all over the world, roasted by us in Ammanford and sourced by our director and Cup Taster Champion, Josh Clarke, who will be talking about their origins and taste characteristics.

We will start our journey with our first house blend, Black Gold. Then venture on through the rest of our House Coffees, the reason behind the names and flavour profiles. We'll finish up with some of our current seasonal coffee.

Josh will be leading an engaging cupping session where you'll get to experience the science behind specialty coffee. You’ll have the opportunity to witness the precise grinding and preparation of these exceptional coffees before they are introduced to your palate.

After the cupping session, we will shift our focus to the world of cocktails. Talented mixologists of Baravin will create two distinct cocktails using our Anthracite Coffee Liqueur. We are looking forward to sipping the night away while we enjoy seeing new and familiar faces.

Coffee Cupping & Ice cream Tasting at Two Islands

For years, Two Islands has been more than just a wholesale customer. They’ve been our friends and partners on this incredible coffee journey...And to celebrate this enduring partnership and our milestone anniversary, we are thrilled to announce a unique event in collaboration with Two Islands, in North Wales.

We are hosting a Coffee Cupping Event that promises to be an unforgettable experience. This event will be a fantastic opportunity to delve into the world of specialty coffee with us on the evening of 2nd of November.

You'll get to cup approximately seven of our coffees, guided by Josh Clarke, our Director and a UK Cup Tasting Champion himself. Learn about the unique flavours, aromas, and stories behind each coffee. No experience needed just join and enjoy the world of specialty coffee.

After the cupping session, prepare your taste buds for something even more unexpected, Two Islands' founders Laura and Jack will take you on a journey of their story, sharing the love and passion that’s the heart and soul of their business. Plus, you'll get to savour some mouthwatering ice cream that they created for this special day.

This event promises not only an exploration of incredible coffee but also an opportunity to connect with like-minded coffee enthusiasts and the passionate individuals behind Two Islands and our Roastery. Alongside your entry, you will receive a retail bag of Two Islands Coaltown Coffee, and a special surprise too.

As we mark our 10th anniversary, we’re throwing open our doors to old friends and new, loyal patrons, wholesale partners, and every coffee enthusiast in between. Join us on Saturday 4th of November, from 11 a.m. for an unforgettable coffee extravaganza!

Ever wondered about the journey your coffee takes before you get to take a sip? Now's your chance! Immerse yourself in the world of specialty coffee as we unveil the magic behind the scenes. Trace the story of each bean, handpicked from far-flung corners of the earth, as they transform into the aromatic roasts you adore.

And while you unravel the mysteries of coffee, Feast Pembrokeshire and Wrong'uns will satiate your cravings with mouth-watering street food. Elevate the buzz with delectable espresso martinis, crafted from Coaltown Coffee and Anthracite Coffee Liqueur, and don't miss our array of craft beers on tap.

Feeling competitive? Show off your skills in our Latte Art Throw Down Competition. Channel your inner barista and create luscious patterns using the velvety Daisy Bank Milk. And if you've never been part of a coffee cupping session, now's your time! Join our coffee maestro, Josh (2019 UK Cup Tasting Champion), as he navigates you through a tantalising tasting journey featuring beans we roast from across the globe. Event 4 - 16.11.23

Ethiopian Inspired Cupping and Small Plates, Kindle, Cardiff

We are thrilled to extend you a warm and friendly invitation to a special event at Kindle in Cardiff.

Here at Coaltown, we believe that the best memories are created when shared with friends and family. That's why we are taking a journey from our Ammanford Roastery to Kindle's undercover garden, taking place on the 16th of November, located in Pontcanna, Cardiff from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM.

Kindle will be the host for a delightful evening filled with Ethiopian inspiration. We're looking forward to creating wonderful memories with you while indulging in a flavourful culinary journey with small plates inspired by the vibrant Ethiopian cuisine created by the head chef Tom Powell.

We will start the night with a fresh crop of Ethiopian cupping led by our director and cup-tasting champion Josh Clarke. After the meal, we will be ending the night on a high note and that will be an Ethiopian Coffee Roasting Ceremony where we roast coffee right before your eyes, conducting a traditional coffee ceremony on an open fire. Experience the art and aroma of freshly roasted coffee that we will be grinding and then tasting afterwards.

We are expecting 35 or more guests to join us, making it a night to remember. So, whether you're a coffee enthusiast or just looking for a wonderful evening with friends and family, this event is perfect for you.
