Aguilera farm is run by 12 siblings (8 brothers and 4 sisters) on a total of 50 hectares. Dagoberto and Jose David are the brothers that run operations. The farms altitude runs from 1,450 masl to 1,700, with the mill standing dead centre at 1,550 masl.

Innovation is a key driver of the farm with various experiments on varieties including types of Geisha, Sarchimore, Pacamara, Venezia, Cidra, Catuai and Villa Sarchi, where they are intercropped with banana trees, poró tico and avocado trees to provide much needed shelter from sun and the high regional winds. At the peak of the harvest, 45 pickers work with the family to maximise the farms efficiency.
