DR MAX prescribes... drinking a cup of Coaltown Coffee

The collapse of coal mines from the 1970s onwards devastated entire communities in Wales and the north of England. This led to an epidemic of mental health problems that still hasn’t gone away. Coaltown Coffee—based in Ammanford, a former Welsh mining town with just 5,400 residents—is a great example of a business helping to revive a badly hit community and one that we can all easily support. Their coffee is pretty good, too. In fact, I’m drinking it as I write!
